The Embakasi North Constituency Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) head office in Dandora came to a standstill as aspirants in the forthcoming Kariobangi North ward by-elections presented their papers to the IEBC offices, Wednesday 8th October, 2025.

Ouma commanded a crowd of more than 2000 supporters who escorted him to the constituency office while the other aspirants strolled into the Dandora 3 offices.

In what was a show of might, Ouma stormed to the Dandora office shortly before 11:00 am just minutes after the other candidate John Katua had presented his papers while his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Julius Maina Njoka presented his nomination credentials later in the evening.

Ouma’s caravan later left the Dandora IEBC offices back to Kariobangi where the team snaked through the ward in another wave of campaigns. This was a show of might following the mammoth crowd witnessed when Ouma received his nomination certificate at the ODM headquarters in Chungwa House before hitting the ground in Kariobangi North when it was evident that Ouma is the most popular candidate in the ward ahead of the by-elections.

This was a show of might as his supporters thronged the constituency office as thousands escorted him to present his papers to IEBC. When Ouma went at Orange house there was a standstill before he went on to a road show in Kariobangi which was positively received.

All the other candidates apart from Ouma and the UDA candidate presented their papers silently before vanishing.

In the rigorous exercise, the Safina Party candidate Crispin Wandera Dangote, who decamped from ODM after loosing in the party primaries was found not to be a registered voter in Kariobangi North ward but was cleared since he is registered in a neighborhood ward in the same constituency. Dangote is said to be registered in another ward in Embakasi.
