Gender Based Violence is a National disaster in Kenya.

Gender Violence has gone notch higher and women and girls are in trouble.

“There’s a need to start creating dialogue across all affected communities and we ask national government institutions as well as counties to come out to and carry out sensitization in a move to end GBV by 2030”, Ms Wangechi Wachira, Exercutive Director, Centre for Rights Education Awareness.

Women of Kenya under ECHO Network has joined hands with other Africa Women leaders,UN women,Women Mediation Network and ministry of Gender Violence in fighting against GBV in Kenya.

Ms Wangechi Wachira was speaking during the launch of 16days of activism against GBV at the Hilton hotel.

The pandemic is not the first time in Kenya,has witnessed the increase in violence against women and girls.

Kenya like any other African countries and the world is experiencing the the manace.

” Many girls are suffering in silence and their is need for related organizations to come out strongly to champion against gender Violence,” she added.
