For a long time the wood processing sector have not been looked at by most companies.
Gultekin, Kenya based company with,headquarters in Turkey is producing and exporting edge Branding machines,Door frame sizing Machines to various counties across Africa including Kenya.
At the moment the company has sold high level machines including door machines, Tilting Circular saw and Ulubatli press Machines to different companies in Kenya.
The Turkey company has been in the Kenyan , African market for over 3 years and sold to various company hard and reliable machines for doors and for curving edges.
Mr. Hassan Saidali, Country Representative said , “Wood Processing is a major boost to economic activity and creation.”
He said,the sector provides prospects for upgrading the export that will add more value to the wood processing sector.
Mr Hassan was explaining to us during an exhibition at KICC dubbed ” WoodTech Africa Exhibition in Kenya,the exhibition has brought almost 100 exhibitors locally and international wood exporters and importers in the industry.
He adds that, currently they are in talks with almost 18 counties that have requested their services and he also assured of an immediate backup machine in any case the is a problem.
” Wood Processing industry is the next big market in Africa,Kenya included, and St the same time it will facilitate achievement of economic growth and opportunities,” he said.

At the moment the company has created many opportunities for small medium businesses as well as youths that are working in the wood processing department.
Mr. Hassan said,” Our goal is to show case how to support growth and help in making money through the wood processing venture to a sustainable growth.
