In a bold celebration of football passion and fan culture, Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL), through its renowned Heineken® brand and as an official partner of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), hosted an electrifying UCL Final Match Viewing Party at Uhuru Gardens in Langata, Nairobi, on Saturday, May 31st, 2025.

The thrilling event, part of the brand’s spirited “Cheers to All Hardcore Fans” campaign, welcomed thousands of football enthusiasts aged 18 and over for an unforgettable night that marked the dramatic climax of the 2024/2025 Champions League season.

From 4 PM, a sea of fans filled the venue, eager to witness the showdown between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan. With the match screened live on one of the largest displays ever seen at a local viewing party, the experience became a powerful shared moment of emotion and unity. Fans erupted as PSG dominated Inter Milan in a stunning 5-0 victory — a historic win that saw the French side claim their first-ever Champions League title.

The star of the night was PSG’s sensational 19-year-old forward, Désiré Doué, who delivered a commanding performance and captured the hearts of fans with his extraordinary talent on the pitch.

But it wasn’t just the football that stole the show. The atmosphere at the Heineken® UCL Viewing Party was electric, fusing the intensity of the game with the richness of lifestyle and entertainment. According to event organizers, the vision was to reimagine the traditional football viewing experience and create an immersive, emotionally resonant celebration of the beautiful game.

Prudence Mutembei, KWAL’s Senior Brand Manager – Beers, described the evening as a landmark moment for football engagement in Kenya.

“It’s been thrilling for us at Heineken® to bring the energy of the UCL Final directly to our fans here in Nairobi,” she said. “Tonight is a true celebration of football, culture, and community, and we’re proud to see our consumers engaging so meaningfully with the brand.”

She further emphasized that the event was the grand finale of the Heineken® UCL Campaign in Kenya, which began in March and included the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour held from May 1st to 3rd — giving thousands of fans the rare opportunity to see and interact with the coveted trophy up close.

In true Heineken® fashion, the match was only the beginning. As the sun set, the event transformed into a high-energy cultural celebration featuring show-stopping live performances from global icons Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C, alongside Kenyan stars Savara and Charisma.

The night escalated with pulsating DJ sets from DJ IV, DJ Suraj, Foozak, Premium DJ Ruffy, Vidza, Kuzi, Wal, and Will the DJ, all hosted by the magnetic MC Azeeza. The music, combined with crowd chants and shared jubilation, turned Uhuru Gardens into a vibrant arena of football-infused festivity.

Guests also enjoyed a curated selection of food and beverage options from on-site bars and vendors, all while Heineken® ensured a consistently upbeat, safe, and stylish atmosphere. A thoughtful partnership with Uber provided guests with secure transportation options — reinforcing the brand’s commitment to seamless, responsible enjoyment.

With its winning combination of sport, music, hospitality, and premium lifestyle experiences, Heineken® reaffirmed its position not only as a leader in beer but as a true curator of modern fan culture — celebrating passion, connection, and the power of unforgettable moments.
