The Nairobi business community is gearing up for a major economic event, the World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit. This exclusive forum, dubbed the “Olympics of Business” by organizers, will bring together policymakers, business leaders, and investors from over 70 countries to discuss strategies for driving Africa’s economic growth.

Ronald Meru, KNCCI Nairobi Chapter Vice Chairman and Chairman of Trade & Economic Diplomacy, announced that the summit will host approximately 4,500 delegates and feature 350 exhibitors from various industries, including manufacturing and telecommunications.

He urged members of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce (KNCCI) to register for the event, highlighting its potential to showcase Kenya’s offerings to a global audience.

The summit will focus on key areas such as enhancing the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) and promoting business across the continent. Meru also emphasized the opportunity for private sector businesses to gain exposure and build their brands, not just within Kenya but regionally and globally.

“This is going to be a great opportunity for you to come and showcase your brand,” he stated.

The influx of delegates presents significant opportunities for local service providers, including taxi-hailing companies and the hospitality sector.

Meru encouraged these businesses to prepare their facilities and services to accommodate the large number of visitors. He also called on the Kenyan population to act as ambassadors for the country, providing a welcoming environment for international exhibitors and delegates.

“We are counting on you to provide a very conducive environment for our external exhibitors and our delegates coming to the country,” Meru concluded.
