Global Tilapia Unveils New Products in the Market: Cooked Fish and Fillets

Global Tilapia, a leading fish products manufacturer in Kenya, has launched a new product called “Ready to Eat.” This innovative offering features fish fillets and whole tilapia fish in various sizes, cooked and frozen for convenience.

The company adds value to the product by frying, freezing, packaging, and branding it. During the opening ceremony of Naivas Supermarket Medilink Langata Road, Global Tilapia’s marketing manager, Josephine Njoki, highlighted that all their fish come from Mbita, Lake Victoria.

She explained that the fish is transported in refrigerated trucks to their processing center in Embakasi, where it undergoes cleaning, cutting, cooking, packing, and freezing.

Njoki emphasized the company’s commitment to filling a market gap and supporting the growth of the fish industry through value addition, echoing President William Ruto’s sentiments.

Global Tilapia’s products, including “Ready to Eat,” are available at partner stores such as Chandarana, Carrefour, and Naivas Supermarkets.

In addition to “Ready to Eat,” Global Tilapia offers a range of other products, including fish fingers, fillets, nuggets, samosas, and sausages. Njoki highlighted that the introduction of these new products has led to increased employment opportunities for young people.
