How Sonko, Guyo are Mobilizing MCAs to Join UDA Party to Consolidate Nairobi Politics

In a strategic move to consolidate their influence in Nairobi politics, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo have orchestrated a campaign to attract allies to the UDA Party.

Among those successfully swayed to join the President’s party are South C MCA Osman Khalif, former Minority Leader Michael Ogada, former Nairobi Clerk Jacob Ngwele, and former Kahawa MCA Joseph Komu.

Political commentator Edward Manga remarked, “Guyo and Sonko are adept mobilizers with considerable financial resources. Their alliance in the UDA is aimed at reuniting key figures in Nairobi politics. There seems to be much activity behind the scenes.”

Sonko convened a meeting with the politicians at a discreet city hotel, where plans were made to covertly enroll Abbas, Ogada, Mbatia, and their team into the UDA Party. “The initial step is to bring them onboard quietly; their official unveiling will follow later. Sonko and Guyo are spearheading the recruitment process,” Manga explained.

The move signals a concerted effort by Sonko and Guyo to leverage their political clout and resources within Nairobi’s political landscape. By uniting under the UDA banner, they aim to strengthen their influence and possibly challenge existing political dynamics in the region.

With their reputation as seasoned mobilizers and their financial prowess, Sonko and Guyo’s alignment with UDA could significantly impact the political landscape of Nairobi, prompting speculation about potential shifts in power dynamics and electoral outcomes.
