Posta Rangers thrash hapless Wisdom Academy as Mozzart Bet Cup preliminary round kicks off

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side Posta Rangers hammered a hapless Wisdom Soccer Academy in the first match of the Mozzart Bet Cup 2024 season played at Ndura Sports Complex in Kitale as matches kicked off today, Saturday, 27th January, 2024.

Posta  Rangers, currently sitting fourth in the FKF Premier League standings had an easy day in office as they swept aside WISA 2-0 with goals from Marita Brian who struck in the 57th minute and 74th minutes to seal the victory for the top flight side who have so far had a roller-coaster season leading the standings for the better part of last year.

The preliminary round, featuring six match-ups, kicked off today Saturday, January 27, and will continue tomorrow, Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Posta Rangers set a date with Wisdom Soccer Academy, a regional side after the Mozzart Bet fixtures were relesead for the season starting today.

In the other match of the day, another FKF Premier League side Kenya Police embark on a journey to Naivasha, locking horns with regional side, Vegpro.

In Sunday Mozzart Bet Cup fixtures set to be played tomorrow, Sunday, January 28, 2024, FKF regional side Eldoro Sports Club will play against Mombasa Stars at  Wundanyi Stadium while away in  Nyeri, Marafiki is poised to meet FKF PL side FC Talanta as Al Azizia entertain Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium in Meru. The final fixture of the preliminary round unfolds at Sudi Stadium, featuring regional side, Bungoma Stars playing against FKF Premier League side Bandari.

The victors of these preliminary clashes will progress to the next level, where the Round of 32 action is slated to unfold from Saturday, February 24, to Sunday, February 25, 2024.

The matches pitting Kenya Police and Vegpro today in Naivasha and that between Al Azizia against Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium in Meru are lined up to be streamed live on  Mozzartbet cup and Football Kenya Federation Facebook and Youtube platforms. By the time of going to press, Kenya Police were leading by a solitary goal in the second half.
