In a packed Police Sacco Stadium, Kibagare Slums played out a goal less draw against Victor’s Faith FC in the Sakaja Super Cup third place play off before heading into post match penalties.
It was a match destined to go either way as strikers on both teams kept the goal keepers busy throughout the match.
It was a charged atmosphere as the Westlands based team Kibagare and Njiru’s Victors Faith sought for the third place and a Ksh 1,000,000 cash prize in the first edition of the tournament sponsored by the Sakaja Foundation in partnership with the Nairobi City County government and Football Kenya Federation
Kibagare went first in the shoot out but it was Victor’s Faith who had the last laugh as they converted 8 of their spot kicks against 7 for Kibagare.
The tournament sponsored by the Sakaja Foundation in partnership with the Nairobi City County government and Football Kenya Federation was started in September and played in all 85 wards in Nairobi with over 300 teams.
