Isaac Mayonge, a member in the National Council of People Living with Disabilities (NCPD), attended the event that celebrated children living with hydrocephalus.
This occasion was unique as it coincided with the birthdays of several children affected by this condition, a heartwarming tradition observed every year on September 30. The event was organized by Neuro Kids Warriors, a group dedicated to supporting children with neurological challenges.
Mayonge, who focuses on advocating for the rights and well-being of persons living with disabilities, spoke at the event. He emphasized the pivotal role played by the NCPD in championing the rights of individuals with disabilities. Established under the Disability Act of 2003, this government institution serves as a guardian of these rights, ensuring their recognition and protection within society.
