Kilimani Member of the County Assembly and the Nairobi county assembly majority whip Moses Ogeto has defended Nairobi Governor against allegations of graft in the Nairobi County government.

Speaking during the launch of the Nairobi Dishi na County Schools feeding initiative at Baba Dogo primary school in Ruaraka, the ODM MCA told off the media and leaders who have been sponsoring stories to castigate Sakaja’s administration urging the governor to press on with his fight against corrupt cartels at city hall.

“I want to congratulate governor Sakaja for the Dishi na County program which was initiated and has been rolled out in a record two months.I want to tell the media to stop being used to fight the governor with allegations of lost money in Nairobi County. As an MCA from the Majority, I know that there is no money that has been lost in Nairobi,” Ogeto said.

“We passed the budget because it was well planned and we did due diligence to ensure that no public money is lost. Those fighting the governor should stop. If they think there is any money lost then they should let the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission and the office of the controller of budget investigate. The media must stop disrupting Governor Sakaja in his fight against cartels who are the perpetrators of corruption,”Ogeto added.

Sakaja has mounted an unrelenting fight to rid city hall of corrupt elements who have over the years derailed service delivery in their corruption plans. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has been investigating alleged corruption at City hall.
