Kasarani Member of Parliament Captain Ronald Karauri yesterday officially launched the Captain Ronald Karauri Foundation and commissioned the construction of new classrooms at Gituamba Primary School in Ruai, Kasarani constituency.
The legislator said that inauguration of the classrooms was a an important milestone in improving the learning environment for the young minds of Gituamba Primary School as the new facilities will provide students with a comfortable and conducive space to learn and grow.
“Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future, and we are proud to be part of this transformative journey. Today was a remarkable day as we launched brand new classrooms at Gituamba Primary School in Ruai, thanks to the incredible support of The Captain Karauri Foundation,”Captain Karauri said.
“The inauguration of these classrooms marks an important milestone in improving the learning environment for the young minds of Gituamba Primary School. The new facilities will provide students with a comfortable and conducive space to learn and grow. Let’s continue working hand in hand to uplift our education system and create a better tomorrow for the generations to come,” he added.
During the inauguration, which marked the official launch of the foundation in the area, 10 months since Karauri sailed to victory as the area Member of Parliament, Karauri was accompanied by his Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Nambale MP Geoffrey Mulanya, Lamu Woman Representative Monica Muthoni as well as a host of MCAs.
“I had the honor of being accompanied by some esteemed individuals who share our vision for quality education and community development. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Babu Owino, MP Embakasi East, Hon. Mulanya, MP Nambale, Hon. Muthoni, Women Rep Lamu, Hon. Louis Musonera, MCA Kajiado, as well as MCA Kariuki, MCA Heho, and MCA Samora from the constituency. Their presence and unwavering commitment have made this project a resounding success,” Karauri said.
Last year, over 600 pupils of Gituamba Primary school were forced to study outside after eight classes in the school developed cracks and started shaking.
The Captain Ronald Karauri Foundation has been formed as a non-profit organization, deeply committed to creating sustainable change in communities. Established in 2023, the foundation is the brainchild of Karauri, who is also the CEO of sports betting company Sportpesa.
