Ulinzi’s Muchiri confident ahead of Tusker Mozzartbet cup clash

Ulinzi stars midfielder Boniface Muchiri has said that the team is focused and motivated by their recent good winning run as they face his former team Tusker FC in the first Mozzart Bet Cup semi finals this Saturday.

Muchiri, who joined  Ulinzi from Tusker in 2021 said that he is ready to marshall the military side against the brewers and book a place in the finals.

Muchiri noted that the team is well aware that this is a difficult fixture for both teams but exuded confidence of carrying the day.

“It is a tough match since it is knock out with no return leg but we are focused on the job and that day Ulinzi will matter most,” Muchiri said.

“I was with them (Tusker) for five years so they know me but I will give my best as I have always done and I hope to have a good match,” Muchiri added.  

Ulinzi Stars will take on Tusker in the early kick-off at 13:00, a match that will be played at Nyayo Stadium. Ulinzi stars, who eliminated the highly-rated Kenya Police team in their race to the quarter-finals  is determined to continue their impressive run in the Mozzart bet cup.

The winners of the MozzartBet Cup will earn the honor of representing Kenya in the prestigious CAF Confederation Cup. This continental competition showcases the best teams from across Africa and provides a platform for local clubs to demonstrate their skills on an international stage.
