The tournament dubbed Ligi Ndogo Inua Talanta tournament will see a total of 12 teams squire it out in the Under-9 and Under 11 age groups in the competition set to be played on Saturday 6th May, 2023.
The 12 teams have been placed in four pools of three teams each. Winner in pool games will qualify for the main cup final. Runner up qualify for Plate cup and third placed qualify for bowl.
This is the first edition and Amex expects to partner with Ligi Ndogo for the next three editions in the tournament.
According to organisers, this tournament will help in nurturing the young players hone their skill and develop into future accomplished players able to play at the highest levels professionally.
“We expect to scout the best under 9 and under 11 talents in this tournament who will proceed to play in the Inua Talanta league that is set to be launched. This will be a step into producing new talent,” said Ligi Ndogo founder and director Chris Amimo.
