The Meru Governor Mrs. Kawira Mwangaza was impeached for violations, incompetency and frustration of the public service board.
The Meru Women said the Governor stands indicted for violating the law of creating appointment in Meru County.
Speaking in Nairobi,the women said there will be a collapse of governance in Meru County if things are not checked well.
“People of Meru county elected their governor and they are ready and expecting quality of service from the county government and the position of a Patron’ was not created anywhere in the law”, said Aspirant of North Imenti Hon. Caroline Karimi
They Women said, “we declare our unwavering support for impactful and transformative women leadership,and take cognizance of the fact that women play a vital role in the government in improvement of good services.
“We are requesting the Senate to follow the law and impeach the Governor unanimously and give Meru people the right person to lead them, ” Hon. Felicity Birir,was running for the Women Representative in the last election.
