The Aheti as the name refers, is driven an ethical imperative and social justice that nobody should have the right of access to life and more so health that is affordable across Africa.
The unveiling of the Africa Health and Economic Transformation to provide and promote access to quality and safe medicines that has been designated as a basic human rights by the WHO.
Aheti was an initiative that belongs to Jesuits Justice and Ecology Network Africa (JENA) in collaboration with YALE university Global Justice Program and AU development Agency in partnership with NEPAD.
“it is with great happiness and excitement that AHETI is supporting,” said Charles Chilufya -Exercutive Director and Chair of AHETI that will be officially launched in January 2023,a model to incentivice pharmaceutical production in Africa.
He adds that the establishment of Ubuntu Health Impact Fund For Africa which is scheduled to be officially launched at the Africa Afya Conference which is to happen in Kigali, earlier January next year,will incentivice pharmaceutical Innovations and productivity in Africa.
The initiative they say will be an offshoot and a fruit of the work of the Africa Task Force of the Vatican COVID 19 commission.
