Matatu owners urged to embrace electric vihicle

Matatu sector is a very industrious sector that is providing job opportunities to millions of Kenyans.

And road safety is a major concern as we head to festivities and the Theme of the meeting is “Efficiency and Road Safety in Challenging Times” Ms Patricia said.

Mr. Patricia Mutheu , Chief Executive MOA was speaking during their 19th conventional delegates meeting in Nairobi,She said Kenya Matatu sector has enormous potential to provide solution to this country if it comes to challenges facing youths like unemployment crisis and contribute to a revenue of almost 12billion shillings.” She adds

Ms Patricia said that through lobbying,MOA has the power to successfully influence a legislation and decisions connected to public road transport.

MOA at the moment is working with all sectors including Ministry of Transport,NACADA,EAcc,NTSA, NAMaTA as well as county governments.

Mr.Martin Eshiwani,who represented the Cabinet Secretary of Transport during the meeting also added that the Matatu sector should lead by example towards the achievement of electric vihicle.

The event which was attended by all Matatu owners across the country was also graced by MOA National Chairman Simon Kimutai.
